Obesity Indices Could Predict High Apolipoprotein B/Apolipoprotein A1 Ratio in Non-menopausal Indonesian Adult Females

چکیده

Previous researches have demonstrated associations between high obesity indices with increased risk of metabolic and cardiovascular disorders. It has also been established that abnormalities lipoprotein metabolism an important role in atherogenesis non-menopausal females are protected from atherosclerotic events relative to menopausal males. This study aimed investigate the relationship such as body mass index (BMI), waist circumference (WC), fat percentage (BF), visceral (VF) apolipoprotein B/apolipoprotein A1 ratio Indonesian adult females. A total 75 were included subjects this cross-sectional study. Measured BMI, WC, BF, VF. Measurement B performed by immunoturbidimetry, followed calculation ratio. cut-off value 0.8 was used define Apolipoprotein B/Apolipoprotein significantly correlated BMI (r=0.384, p=0.001), WC (r=0.363, BF (r=0.385, VF (r=0.380, p=0.001). The area under curve (0.754) slightly larger than (0.722), (0.721), (0.686) predicting positive significant correlation observed Obesity could be predict

The association between small dense low density lipoprotein, apolipoprotein B, apolipoprotein B/apolipoprotein A1 ratio and coronary artery stenosis

Abstract   Background: Recently, small dense low density lipoprotein (sdLDL) has been   highlighted as a new risk factor for the coronary artery disease (CAD).Small dense   LDLs are believed to be atherogenic since these particles are taken up more easily by   arterial wall. They are readily oxidized and have reduced affinity for low density   lipoprotein (LDL) receptor and increased affinity...

The nonlinear association between apolipoprotein B to apolipoprotein A1 ratio and type 2 diabetes: Erratum

The ratio of ApoB/apolipoprotein A1 (ApoA1) has been found to be associated with type 2 diabetes, and it was proposed as a new biomarker for type 2 diabetes predictions. Previous studies have assumed that the association between apoB/apoA1 and type 2 diabetes was linear. However, the linearity assumption has rarely been examined. In the present study, we aimed to examine whether this associatio...

Increased level of apolipoprotein B/apolipoprotein A1 ratio as a potential risk for osteonecrosis.

OBJECTIVE This study was performed to investigate whether a high ratio of apolipoprotein B to apolipoprotein A1 (apo B/apo A1 ratio) is significantly associated with the risk of developing non-traumatic osteonecrosis of the femoral head (ON). METHODS Fifty consecutive non-traumatic ON cases were compared with 50 age and sex matched controls, using both univariate and stepwise discriminant ana...
